These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hack Halt website, WordPress plugin, and related services provided by Hack Halt Inc. (“Hack Halt”, “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By installing, accessing, or using Hack Halt products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Hack Halt services.
1. Description of Services
Hack Halt provides website security software designed to help protect WordPress websites from malicious activity.
Services may include:

2. No Guarantee of Security
Hack Halt provides tools intended to improve website security. However:
Hack Halt does not guarantee that your website will be free from vulnerabilities, attacks, or security breaches.
Cybersecurity threats evolve constantly, and no software can completely eliminate risk.
By using Hack Halt services, you acknowledge that:
- security tools reduce risk but cannot eliminate it
- website owners remain responsible for maintaining secure systems
- Hack Halt is not responsible for damages resulting from security incidents.
3. Account Registration
Certain services may require account creation.
You agree to:
- provide accurate information
- maintain the confidentiality of account credentials
- notify us of unauthorized access
You are responsible for activities occurring under your account.
4. Subscription and Payments

By purchasing a subscription, you agree that:

5. Refunds
Refund eligibility, if offered, will follow the refund policy displayed at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise required by law, subscription fees may be non-refundable once services have been activated.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Hack Halt services:

- to attempt to compromise other systems
- to distribute malware
- to reverse engineer the software
- to interfere with service infrastructure
- to abuse the threat intelligence network
Hack Halt reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Intellectual Property
All software, code, trademarks, branding, and technology associated with Hack Halt are the intellectual property of Hack Halt Inc.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software according to these Terms.
You may not:
- copy, distribute, or resell the software
- reverse engineer the plugin
- remove copyright or licensing notices
- create derivative products based on Hack Halt technology.
8. Threat Intelligence Network
Certain Hack Halt features may contribute anonymized threat intelligence to a collaborative security network.
This may include:
- malicious IP addresses
- attack signatures
- exploit techniques
- bot scanning behavior
Data shared through this network is anonymized and used solely to improve threat detection and protection for Hack Halt users.
9. Third-Party Services
Hack Halt services may integrate with third-party services including:
- WordPress
- hosting providers
- payment processors
- analytics providers
Hack Halt is not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services.
10. Service Availability
Hack Halt aims to maintain reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Services may be temporarily unavailable due to:

- infrastructure outages
- software updates
- circumstances beyond our control.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Hack Halt Inc., its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- loss of data
- loss of profits
- website compromise
- business interruption
- system downtime
arising from the use or inability to use Hack Halt services.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for Hack Halt services during the previous 12 months.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hack Halt Inc. from any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from:
- misuse of the services
- violation of these Terms
- activities conducted through your account.
13. Termination
Hack Halt may suspend or terminate access to services if:
- these Terms are violated
- services are misused
- payment obligations are not met.
Users may terminate their use of services at any time by uninstalling the plugin and cancelling subscriptions.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
15. Changes to Terms
Hack Halt may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
